Past Continuing Education Credits, 2023

We are pleased to offer affordable educational opportunities for health professionals, through our Sept. 30 - Oct. 2, 2023 in-person and virtual conference, and our June 11, 2023 Virtual Summit.  We finalized our 2023 speaker rosters and full agendas, and the re-accreditation processes for the five continuing education accreditors we utilize.  Final and complete up-to-date information about each type of 2023 continuing education credit is presented below on this page.

To receive continuing education credits you must register for the conference with the "Physicians" or "Other Professionals" option, not with the “General Public” or “Students and Medical Residents” option.  Partial attendance would result in pro-rating of credits.

ABLM/ACLM Exam-takers, credits approved for in-person participation only:  19.25 hours (full 3-day attendance), 14 hours (Sat.-Sun. attendance only) or 12.25 hours (Sun.-Mon. attendance only) at the Sept. 30 - Oct. 2, 2023 P-POD Conference are approved for the In-person CME requirement in Lifestyle Medicine, for ABLM/ACLM Diplomate credentialing and examinations.

The American Board of Lifestyle Medicine has approved every P-POD Conference since 2018 for satisfying its 10-hour "In-person CME" prerequisite for candidates for its annual Lifestyle Medicine certifying examination (credentialing for Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine or Diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, as applicable to physicians, nurses, dietitians and other practitioners/professionals).  That exam for 2023 is scheduled for dates beginning Nov. 25, and ABLM's rigid deadline to register for it is Sept. 30.  The AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits™ now  approved for the in-person Sept. 30 - Oct. 2, 2023 P-POD Conference (19.25 credits for 3 days, 14 credits for Sat.-Sun. or 12.25 credits for Sun.-Mon.) are specifically recognized by ABLM and ACLM as qualified in-person CME for their credentialing purposes.

P-POD produces one of the five U.S. conferences qualified for the examination purposes described above.  For the first two COVID-19 years 2020 and 2021, ABLM made an emergency exception, and allowed virtual conferences to meet its In-person CME requirement, but for 2022 onward it has very clearly and specifically returned to the normal policies of honoring fully-qualified in-person conferences only.

For persons who are already Lifestyle Medicine Diplomates:  If you are using the Maintenance of Certification plan that requires 30 Continuing Medical Education credits in the 5 years after your credentialing, then all the CME credits approved for ALL P-POD Conferences (in-person OR virtual) will count toward your 30 hour requirement.  ALL P-POD Conferences ALSO allow a 10% discount for existing Lifestyle Medicine Diplomates on their Physician or Other Professional registrations (using code DIPLM).
