Katya has worked both in clinical and community settings, however her passion lies within the social media arena, targeting and educating native-Spanish-speaking people regarding the health benefits of plant-based diets.  For many years she has shared recipes she develops, experiences, lifestyle tips and nutritional information on various social media platforms, and on her own website Veggisima.com, reaching the public and health professionals alike.  As a bilingual dietitian, she has also for two decades worked part time for Food and Nutrition Translations with a group of dietitians from different countries, being responsible for translating health and nutrition materials into Spanish.  She transitioned to a plant-based diet gradually over a 10 year period and has been vegan for about a decade.  She enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
