Koushik Reddy, MD FACC FACLM DipABLM earned his medical degree at Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad, India, completed residency as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens NY, and completed fellowship trainings in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola NY.   His board certifications span Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology and Lifestyle Medicine, and he has been engaged in medical practice at the James A Haley Veterans Administration Medical Center in Tampa FL since 2007.

Dr. Reddy has served since 2007 as Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at the University of South Florida.Collage of Medicine, Tampa, and since 2012 as Director of Interventional Cardiology at James A. Haley VA Medical Center.  He has served as Assistant Program Director for the General Cardiology fellowship at this VA Center, and he integrated Lifestyle Medicine and whole food plant-based nutrition into its core curriculum.  He there established a cardiology-based lifestyle clinic called Cardiology HEAL – Healthy Eating and Living..  At the University of South Florida, he founded the Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group.

Dr. Reddy has been named a Fellow by both the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM).  His distinguished contributions to ACLM include his present service as Treasurer and Executive Board member, his continuing service as Founding Co-Chair of the Cardiology Member Interest Group, and and his past service as Founding Co-Chair of the Veterans Affairs / Department of Defense Member Interest Group.  He has since 2017 been a member of the ACC's Working Group on Nutrition and Lifestyle.  In 2019, he also founded Plant-Based Lifestyle Movement, a Tampa area community-based nonprofit organization that is working to take the power of plant-based nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine to the grassroots level.
