Deitra Dennis, RN NBC-HWC is a long-serving Registered Nurse and a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Health Coach who feels impassioned to help others live at their optimal levels of health. After the death of a young patient, she began her path to take her nursing care from the bedside to the sidelines as a health coach, and to the table side as a nutrition and cooking instructor. Her new phase of this journey is one of dedication to educate and empower her clients to sustain long-term healthy lifestyles.
Deitra has long been certified as a Food for Life Instructor by Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, and was a contributing author to the African Heritage Power Plate Booklet they published along with Oldways. She has served as an Instructor and Ambassador for the A Taste of African Heritage and Health program through Oldways, and has recently undertaken the Professional Plant-Based Chef training through Rouxbe Online Cooking School. She was recognized by a premier managed care company for her outstanding coaching skills in guiding patients to make healthy behavior changes during her role as a disease management nurse and health coach. She offers her services independently through her company Full Circle Health Coaching LLC, specializing in prevention and risk reduction for cardiovascular disease for clients including but not limited to women of color.
