Marty Davey, MS RDN LDN earned her Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Marywood University in Scranton PA, and she has had a long and wide-ranging career as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, sometimes under the nickname LaDiva Dietitian.  She is currently the Nutrition Interventionist for the NEW Soul Study (Nutritious Eating with Soul), a National Institutes of Health R01 randomized trial based at the University of South Carolina, partnering with local vegan soul food restaurants and chefs in an intervention targeting reduction of cardiovascular disease risk among African Americans.  She is also a Nutrition Instructor for the Main Street Vegan Academy.

Marty has over the years served in various settings as a therapeutic / interventionist dietitian working with children or teens with behavioral or metabolic challenges.  She has worked on a rural private practice basis, but also for organizations / programs such as the E4 Health and Wellness VIRTUAL Diabetes Program, the Wordsworth Philadelphia residential treatment facility, Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and SPED Consulting and Therapy.  She us the author of "You’re Not Dead, Yet: Nutrition for the Over 50 Crowd" as well as two recipe books.  She is a member of the Vegetarian Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group, and the Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine Dietetic Practice Group, of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
